Even though Fluminense are now in Saudi Arabia trying to conquer one of their biggest titles ever, midfielder André continues to be questioned about his future.
The 22-year-old, who’s been heavily linked to Fulham in the past few months, held a press conference after the Club World Cup semifinals and was asked about a Premier League transfer.
Without mentioning specific clubs, André made it quite clear that playing in English football is a major goal for him. The quotes are from Premier League Brasil.
“I watch the Premier League and it’s a big dream to play there one day. I’m focused on finishing the season at Fluminense and realising my dream of winning the Club World Cup. But my dream is clear, to be a Premier League player,” said André.
Just recently, reports from the Brazilian media claimed that Fluminense were still to receive an offer from Fulham or any other interested club for a January move, and that could convince the Brazilian side to hold until the summer to get a major sale, as their idea is to make André their most expensive departure ever.
However, the quotes make it clear that the midfielder is only concerned about the Club World Cup, which ends at the weekend, and he then should focus on his move to Europe.
So that should be a great time for Fulham to make their move, especially if they can get the player to start pushing for it.
