Leicester City have a few players with contracts expiring in June and this includes Ayoze Pérez.

At the weekend, Estadio Deportivo reported the forward is no rush to leave the Foxes in the winter market amid Brendan Rodgers’ comments. Real Betis and AS Roma are the two clubs to have shown interest in him.

AS now state the Leicester man has been on the La Liga side’s agenda for a long time and option to sign him could be brought forward to January if Borja Iglesias were to move elsewhere.

With a deal expiring in June, the ‘door is already open’ for the Spaniard to leave Leicester in the current window.

Manuel Pellegrini has admitted his side will not bring in new faces to the club this month. There seems to be a change in Betis’ plans as the newspaper states they are ‘already negotiating’ the possibility to sign Pérez in January, provided the numbers add up.

If they don’t, and no other club takes the player away from Leicester in the coming weeks, Betis can be in contention to sign him for free after this season.
