There is no reason for Erling Haaland to leave Manchester City in the coming years, as he is already at one of the best clubs in the world.
That’s according to fellow Norwegian Tor Andre Flo, who has told AS that the striker would be wise to stay at the Etihad for as long as possible.
Haaland only joined Manchester City last summer but has continued on his path to being one of the best strikers in the history of football, scoring 42 goals in 37 games in all competitions this season.
He is already being linked with a move away from the club in the coming years, with Real Madrid believed to be determined to sign him at some point.
According to various reports in Spain their plan for 2024 is to definitively move for the striker and potentially partner him with Kylian Mbappe to boot.
Such a move would obviously be ahead of Manchester City’s wishes, but Flo insists he cannot see any reason why Haaland would want to leave.
“He’s the best player in the world right now,” he told the newspaper.
“What he did in Leipzig was simply unbelievable. He smashes every record that’s put in front of him.
“I don’t see why he would leave. He’s playing great at one of the best clubs in the world, but maybe in a couple of years things will change.”
