Generally, if you’re not one of the top six sides in the Premier League, you’re going to get disrespected. That’s something Crystal Palace are likely accustomed to by now.

Their recent success under Oliver Glasner sees their star men regularly linked with moves away. And those reports usually take it as a given that the player will depart Crystal Palace without even thinking about it.

That often feeds into everything else. And that appears to be the case with the latest comments on Daniel Muñoz from Colombian Camilo Zúñiga. He’s been speaking to Caracol Radio about the Crystal Palace star.

Muñoz is one of the undisputed key men in Glasner’s team, having shone from right-wing-back since joining in an €8m deal from Genk in January 2024.

His performances, and his regular goal contributions, are now seeing him linked with some of the biggest clubs in the world. Barcelona are reportedly keen, Liverpool have been mentioned and even Chelsea are believed to fancy him despite him being 29.

Muñoz has fanned the flames too, admitting that he’d love to play for Europe’s elite before then separately admitting Manchester United are the dream.

Zúñiga certainly wants to see his compatriot move on from Selhurst Park. And is happy to aim digs at Crystal Palace when admitting as much.

“Dani is having a spectacular season, not just now, but ever since he arrived in England,” he said.

“I honestly don’t know why he’s still at that club. With all due respect, God’s timing is perfect, and in due time he’ll reach a bigger club.”
