On Friday, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Everton have agreed a deal with Napoli to sign Jesper Lindstrøm on a loan deal with an option to buy.
He also said the Merseyside club had to agree a deal with the 24-year-old to conclude the operation, but that wasn’t thought to be a major issue.
Everton have made progress on this front if CalcioNapoli24 are to be believed.
The attacking midfielder joined the Serie A side in August 2023, and clocked in less than 600 minutes from 29 games. He struggled in his debut season in Italy, failing to score a goal or register an assist.
It’s claimed the Denmark international thought about the Toffees’ offer for a long time, before being convinced to accept it in the ‘last few hours’.
He will join Everton on loan with an option to buy set at €21-22m. CalcioNapoli24 insist that there is no mandatory purchase option or a conditional obligation as part of the loan deal.
Gianluca Di Marzio says it’s ‘all done’ to take the player to the Premier League side. They will pay €3m loan fee to the Naples club and there’s a buying option set at €22m.
He adds Lindstrøm is scheduled to travel in the ‘next few hours’, to undergo medical tests, before completing a move to Everton.
