Earlier on Wednesday, we covered the latest update from France regarding the future of Emerson Palmieri.

The player was wanted by both Napoli and Lyon, with the latter unsure whether to go for the Chelsea player or Layvin Kurzawa, who is looking for a way out from Paris Saint-Germain.

The idea would be to take the left-back away from Stamford Bridge on loan, and that’s exactly what is going to happen, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet have published a quick article on Wednesday afternoon explaining the Chelsea player will be going to neither Napoli nor Inter, but ‘will go to Lyon on loan’.

They state the talks ‘have arrived to a good end’, and the move ‘will be made official in the next few hours’.

All in all, ‘it’s done’, as they put it, and it seems Emerson Palmieri will look to relaunch his club career in France and not in Italy.
