While Chelsea spent a lot of money on their first-team over the course of the January transfer window, the Blues also planned ahead a little bit with the signing of Andrey Santos.

The youngster is currently with the Brazil U20 national team as they make their way through the South American U20 Cup, but it remains to be seen in what capacity he gets used by Graham Potter once he returns.

Even if he doesn’t get immediate first-team starts, there is the belief that Chelsea have a wonderkid on their hands, and the Blues aren’t going to stop there.

They have also been linked with Vitor Roque, a young forward who plays for Athletico Paranaense, who is also featuring for the Brazil U20 national team.

Not only are Chelsea after him, but other teams, such as Barcelona, are said to be keen, which is why the Spanish media are following his progress with a certain interest.

AS have a report on the youngster’s performance at the international tournament, where they also highlight the Blues’ recent acquisition.

They state Brazil have ‘two outstanding names’ in their team, with those being Andrey Santos and Vitor Roque, with the former said to be ‘dominating’ each game, finding the back of the net through set pieces.

There’s then Roque, who is said to be the ‘big star thanks to his six goals and insatiable relationship with the opposition’s goal’, as he is ‘taking all the praise’ in the absence of Endrick.

That’s when AS explain that ‘several greats’, meaning big teams, including Barcelona, are after him, among which we know Chelsea can be found per previous reports on the interest from Todd Boehly’s club.
