RB Leipzig director of football Rouven Schröder has warned Tottenham, and any other suitors for Dani Olmo, that luring him away will be no easy task.
Sky Austria cover comments from the Leipzig DoF today ahead of a summer in which Olmo appears likely to be targeted by several sides in Europe.
Reports in England have indicated that more than one team in the Premier League are looking into a potential deal for the Spaniard, including Tottenham.
Indeed, a report at the end of March stated that they could take advantage to secure Olmo on the cheap, with him seen as a bargain signing for top clubs this summer.
That report was the latest in a growing list of them over the last few months, while Spurs have actually been linked to the player since he was playing in Croatia, before his move to Leipzig.
He joined the German side in January 2020 in a €29m deal and has been a key player ever since, with 28 goals and 33 assists in 143 games to date.
Losing him would be a major blow and but Schröder insists the player’s strong ties to the Bundesliga club mean he may not be easy to lure away.
“He hasn’t just been here and passing through for six months, he’s been playing for us for four years now,” he said.
“On the other hand, it is clear that different players like Dani are of course in demand everywhere.”
