Eintracht Frankfurt director of football Markus Krösche ‘immediately brushed off’ interest from Tottenham when they looked at hiring him to replace Fabio Paratici.
That’s according to Frankfurter Rundschau, who say that Tottenham ‘definitely’ wanted him to move to London this summer.
Tottenham have been hunting for their new director of football since Fabio Paratici resigned from his position towards the end of April amid a ban from FIFA over alleged financial misconduct at Juventus.
That search has seemingly gone as well as their hunt for a new manager, with a number of names linked but none yet signing on the dotted line.
Krösche was one of those reportedly being considered, with him highly regarded for his work at Eintracht, where he has regularly picked out top talent to develop at the German club to sell for big profit.
That ability to identify and develop talent would be more than welcome at Spurs but it seems Krösche was not interested in the move.
According to FR’s information, they were ‘definitely’ interested in a move to hire the director of football but he ‘immediately brushed off’ the interest to remain in Germany and continue the work he’s done so far.
He’ll be enjoying a busy summer at the Bundesliga club this summer as a result, while Tottenham will need to find someone else to take the top job.
