Chelsea youngster Charlie Webster has insisted he is not concerned by a lack of playing time out on loan at SC Heerenveen so far.
The midfielder has been speaking FeanFan Magazine, relayed by FEAN Online, regarding his time on loan at the Dutch club so far.
He joined them on a season-long deal in the summer, his first move away from Stamford Bridge in his career so far.
He’s spent his entire career to date with Chelsea, starting out in their youth set up and working his way through their various youth levels up to the U21s.
He’s yet to appear for the first team so the decision was made to send him out on loan to Heerenveen this summer to get the playing time he needs to continue his development.
That’s not quite happened as yet as he’s made just two appearances in the league and featured in 13% of the available minutes at the beginning of this season.
That’s nowhere near what he or Chelsea were planning on, but it seems he’s not too concerned about the matter for now.
“The fact that I don’t play everything right away doesn’t worry me,” he said.
“If things don’t go exactly the way I want, I shouldn’t get frustrated. I’m still young and new. My fellow players need to get to know me better and I need to get to know them.”
