Even though Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez has been in Spain in the preparation for the World Cup, he’s set to return to England for a few days.
Record Mexico columnist David Medrano writes that the doctors who took care of the player in London have advised him to receive an extra injection to help ease his injury.
The Mexican national team are now said to be ‘evaluating’ whether the Wolves star should go to England for that. In case he does, he’d miss a couple of their training sessions.
It’s well known that Jimenez is not ready to play, and that’s why the Molineux side let him go to Spain to continue his recovery process with national team doctors ahead of the World Cup.
Record writes that Wolves and Mexico continue in ‘constant communication’ to avoid that the striker has some kind of setback to his injury. It’s said that manager Gerardo Martino would like the player to have a few minutes in their friendly against Sweden on Wednesday, and that’d make them more certain about his situation for the tournament in Qatar.
Wolves, meanwhile, will be reluctant to take any chances with the player’s future fitness.
