With just a few weeks left before the World Cup, Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison and West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paquetá have scared the national team with their injuries.
Even though both players seem like they will be back in time for the competition, with their recovery shorter than expected, the Seleção will analyse their situations carefully before the final call up.
According to UOL, one week before the final list is out, national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar is set to fly to England and make a ‘special visit’ to Richarlison at Tottenham and Paquetá at West Ham.
It’s said he wants to ‘personally verify’ the condition and the recovery of both players. He’s set to be followed by Tite’s assistant César Sampaio.
Both Tottenham and West Ham have officially claimed that Richarlison and Paquetá should not be a worry for the World Cup, but the national team want to ‘make sure’ of their situation before deciding the final list for the tournament.
Tite is sending FIFA a 55-name list on Friday, and the final call-up will take place on the 7th of November.
