Manchester United are one of the clubs hovering to sign Celta Vigo’s Gabriel Veiga this summer.
That’s according to AS, who say that the player is being offered ‘dizzying’ figures in England that are tempting him away from the Spanish club.
That, coupled with the Spanish wise being more than happy to accept €40m, the value of his clause, for his services, means it is a ‘fantasy’ to contemplate him staying in Vigo next season.
Manchester United are one of the clubs who are ‘chasing’ a player who has been deemed ‘the midfielder of the future’ as he even outstrips Jude Bellingham in the stats this season.
That has aroused desires around Europe, particularly in England, and the belief is that the only way he doesn’t end up in the Premier League is if Real Madrid push hard for his signature.
They’re yet to be in contact about a potential move to the Bernabeu but the interest in him is real and they could enter the fray.
Before anything happens Veiga will have to choose a representative, having ended his relationship with Intermedia Sport Player. Countless agents have knocked on the door since and there are now three candidates left.
Once that is sorted, and the season is over, he will turn his attention to his future, with a move to England looking likely and Manchester United very much in the picture.
