Club Brugge have shown interest in Sheffield United winger Andre Brooks as a potential back up to Carlos Forbs. The latter has found a better place for his talents in Belgium, after struggling in England with Wolves.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri. According to his information, Club Brugge have approached Sheffield United regarding a transfer this month.
The journalist reports that Sheffield United want to keep their talented youngster, but discussions are still ongoing on that front.
The 22-year-old has been a regular for Sheffield United this season. He’s already made 26 appearances in all competitions, with two goals and four assists in total. 15 of those have been starts in the Championship.
It’s very much a breakout season for him, despite making his debut under Paul Heckingbotham back in 2022. He also featured in the Premier League in 2023. Brooks is already two appearances short of his total from last season, emphasising that point.
And the Sheffield United player appears to have caught the attention of Club Brugge as a result. That’s at least according to Tavolieri. He reports that they have shown interest in Brooks as they seek a back up for Carlos Forbs.
They’ve already approached the Blades regarding a transfer, but it appears they’re not keen on a deal so far. Negotiation, or perhaps a persuasion effort from Brugge, is underway.
As ever, if Club Brugge pay enough then Sheffield United will listen.
