Arijanet Muric joined Sassuolo on loan from Ipswich Town in the summer.
The Italian side have the option to buy the goalkeeper permanently, and the 26-year-old is already impressing in Serie A.
He’s played five times, keeping two clean sheets and showing an ability to make key saves. Ipswich Town can now receive a fee from his permanent exit.
Sportmediaset report that Muric’s performances have been enough to convince Sassuolo to sign him.
As of now, they have an option to sign him permanently for €10m. The Neroverdi will look to seek a discount on that amount, having made their intentions clear already.
TuttoSport, relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, have something similar.
The newspaper believe the player’s camp are already aware of Sassuolo’s goal of signing Muric permanently.
Ipswich Town signed Kosovo international from Burnley for €9.5m in 2024. They probably won’t want to come down from that €10m figure too much, but Sassuolo will try and use every trick in the book.
That will involve trying to encourage the player’s camp to pressure Ipswich Town into a lower fee.
