With René Hake set to leave his job at Go Ahead Eagles to join Manchester United as an assistant to Erik ten Hag, the Dutch media today shares some further details on that move.
Sport Nieuws managed to have a word with Paul Bosvelt, director of the Eredivisie side, who said the Red Devils are still to get in touch for the signing.
However, the club chief accepts that Hake may be leaving for Manchester United, and acknowledges that will be a good chance for the coach.
Meanwhile, outlet Voetbal International shares a more complete story about Hake’s move, claiming it’s a ‘surprise’ that the coach is moving to Old Trafford.
The website believes the decision does make sense, though, given that he has a great relationship with Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.
Regarding the price Manchester United will pay to get Hake, it’s said that his contract with Go Ahead Eagles includes a release clause which is worth just ‘several hundred thousand euros’.
That’s certainly doable for the Red Devils, who seem to be focused on getting Ten Hag some help for next season.
