Tottenham Hotspur are having a good start to life under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
The squad appear to have reacted excellently to the close man-management of the Australian, and the results are showing on the pitch.
Perhaps more noticeably, supporters have also taken to ‘Big Ange’, and there’s a feel good factor throughout the London club right now.
Of course, not so long ago things weren’t as optimistic at Tottenham as they are now, and the club were searching for both a new manager and support in the running of the club off the pitch.
Feyenoord’s Arne Slot was one of the serious options for Tottenham, but in the end the coach decided to stay with the Eredivisie side and remain in Dutch football for the time being.
It wasn’t just Slot who interested Tottenham at Feyenoord, they were also keen on director Dennis te Kloese.
Te Kloese has now spoken about Tottenham’s efforts for both Slot and himself.
1908.nl quote him as saying: “We hope that his choice (Slot to stay) turns out well. To be honest, I hope we end up in the same position, because that means we’re going to have a good year.
“I had no interest in going anywhere else. Personally, I don’t think it’s a moment to think about anything else. My family is used to the Netherlands very well. Now is not the time.
“Interest from Tottenham or another club or organisation is of course pleasing.”
