Sporun Dibi claim Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has reached an agreement with Manchester United to loan Marcos Rojo but they need to convince the Argentine defender over the move.
In recent days we’ve covered reports from Turkey regarding Fenerbahce’s interest in Rojo and it’s claimed the Turkish side are interested in loaning the 29 year old.
However, Sporun Dibi claim despite an agreement between the two clubs, Rojo doesn’t want to join Fenerbahce.
The former Sporting defender is expected to leave Manchester United this summer after the arrival of Harry Maguire but at this stage of his career it seems he doesn’t want a transfer to the Super Lig.
Fener are still in the market for another defender after signing Mathias Zanka from Huddersfield Town, and Rojo’s ability to play at left-back is also said to be an important factor for club’s manager Ersun Yanal.
The transfer window in Turkey will close on the 2nd of September so Fenerbahce still have enough time to convince him over a move to Istanbul if these claims are accurate.
