New Fenerbahce sporting director Emre Belozoglu will hold a meeting with Everton’s Marcel Brands to discuss the possible transfer of Cenk Tosun, according to Turkish website Fotospor.

Emre has been very influential for the Turkish club since his appointment, and Fotospor report he wants to sign Tosun, his former teammate from the national team.

It’s claimed he and Brands will have a Zoom meeting on Thursday and Fotospor say he will try to convince the Dutchman to let him leave for Fener.

Tosun is currently recovering from a knee injury which he picked up whilst on loan at Crystal Palace this season, he’s expected to be back in September.

The 29 year old has been linked with a return to Super Lig in the past couple of years but has indicated he would like to continue his career in Europe’s biggest leagues.

However, with Euro 2021 on the horizon, Tosun could look to move to a club where he will get regular first-team football, and Fenerbahce can certainly offer that. His contract at Goodison Park will expire at the end of June 2022.
