Bursaspor vice president Cem Ozturk has spoken to Olay TV about the transfer activity at the club.

The Turkish side will begin their season on Saturday against Fenerbahce and Ozturk said they’re working hard to strengthen ahead of the first game.

One player who’s been strongly linked with a move to Bursaspor is Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet, after recent reports the Turkish club have convinced both the Premier League club and the player over a potential loan move.

Ozturk confirmed Saivet will be available to them but the move now depends on the final decision of the Super Lig club: “The deal for Saivet depends on us at the moment. He is available to us.”

Saivet is expected to leave Newcastle United this summer after becoming surplus to requirements under Rafa Benitez. There have been recent claims the midfielder has agreed personal terms with Bursaspor, and he would be paid €800k for his season long loan spell in Turkey.

Newcastle United have also reportedly agreed to loan the player.
