Arsenal are ready to make a bid for the Porto youngster Diogo Leite, according to reports from Portugal this week.
Website Zero Zero, which isn’t exactly known for regularly breaking news, claims the Gunners are very keen on signing the 19-year-old.
The London side are said to have been following the teenager for a long time now, with things getting more intense in the past few weeks, when the club made Porto aware of their interest.
Even though Zero Zero claims that an offer may be coming, they make it clear that Arsenal are actually ready to pay Leite’s release clause, which is €15m.
Diogo Leite is considered to be one of Porto’s biggest youth talents, and that’s why the Dragons have been working on giving him a new contract, with a much bigger release clause.
But with the report making it clear that Arsenal are going for him, let’s see how long Porto can keep the defender.
