Celtic defender Moritz Jenz has admitted he doesn’t know if he will be remaining at the club beyond the summer, despite being more than happy in Scotland.

Jenz joined Celtic on loan from Lorient and has been a regular since, featuring in 11 league games so far and featuring in 49% of the available minutes so far.

The last four games have seen him sat on the bench but that is not to say the youngster hasn’t made a positive impression when given the chance.

Celtic have an option to buy him in the summer should they wish to do so, although that is a decision which is unlikely to be made until after the season has ended.

Jenz would certainly be open to it happening, insisting he is happy at the club despite a lack of clarity over what will happen in the coming months.

“I’ve felt really at home here since the first day,” he told RBB 24.

“I lived in England for eight years, it’s similar there. I like the people; they are just very nice. I also like the weather, although it rains a lot and it’s cold.

“It’s a really cool city with a lot of options. When you play for a club like Celtic, you just can’t complain.

“It’s hard to say (about his future) because it’s still relatively early. My agent and the club representatives will discuss that.

“I’m relatively happy at Celtic and it’s really fun here. Every day is a dream. I hope it can continue like this in the long term. We’ll see what happens. I just keep going full throttle for Celtic.”
