Raphinha rejected an opportunity to continue in the Premier League as he turned down an offer from Chelsea to join Barcelona from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
The winger managed a goal and an assist from first four league matches for the La Liga side. His goal came against Sevilla on September 3rd.
Since then, the former Leeds star has made eight appearances in the league and has failed to find the back of the net, but he did manage an assist in these matches, before adding two more assists in the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen.

The Brazil international appeared as a guest on Cadena Ser’s program, Carrusel Canalla, where he was asked about his adaptation to the new life at the Camp Nou.
“For me, on an individual level, it’s been difficult: I’m a forward and I like to score. I’ve scored an official goal all season and that touches you a bit. I’m adapting, my teammates are helping me. I’m working so that this adaptation as quickly as possible,” the ex-Leeds attacker said.
Having played under Marcelo Bielsa’s orders at Leeds, the South American was asked to give his take on whether Xavi Hernández has ‘something of’ the Argentine.
“No one has anything from anyone. People are different, each one has their way of working. As I am not the same as anyone, neither are Xavi and Bielsa,” Raphinha explained.
