Destiny Udogie’s agent has revealed it was an easy decision for the left-back to join Tottenham Hotspur over other clubs in the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old is one of the young prospects from Italy and his fine displays at Udinese last campaign convinced the north London club to secure his services.
Tottenham signed the fullback last month and after he signed a five-year deal with them, they let him return to the Serie A side on a loan deal until the end of this season.
Prior to signing for Antonio Conte’s side, there were other clubs that showed interest in the Italy U21 international. Among them was Inter Milan and this has been revealed by Udogie’s representative, Ferdinando Guarino, during an interview Spazio Inter.
“Several teams have taken an interest in Udogie, including from Italy. We had some talks with Inter and Juve, for example, but then when Tottenham’s opportunity arose it was difficult not to seize it quickly,” the agent said.
Guarino is part of the agency Football Service, who manage the Tottenham owned player.
Another representative from the same agency, Stefano Antonelli, had revealed earlier this month that Inter were one of the clubs that tried signing Udogie before he agreed signing for Spurs.
