At the start of this year, Brighton & Hove Albion signed Kacper Kozłowski from Polish side Pogoń Szczecin and immediately loaned him out to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
The midfielder returned to The Amex in the summer but was not included in the Seagulls’ plans for this season.
This resulted in Brighton allowing the 19-year-old to join Vitesse on a season-long loan deal in the last window.
The Poland international is yet to be given an opportunity to represent Brighton’s senior team and he believes there is a valid reason for that.
“In football, maybe I could do well in the Premier League, but I didn’t feel physically strong. I felt like I wasn’t getting there,” Kozłowski told Meczyki’s YouTube channel.
“It is known that the Premier League is the toughest league in the world. I was 18 when I came to Brighton and it’s hard to play all the games at that age.”
Graham Potter was in charge of the English club when the player’s temporary move to the Eredivisie side was sanctioned.
The Brighton owned player suggested he is happy with a move to Vitesse, where he has made nine appearances in all competitions, managing two goals and an assist in the process.
“If I got a signal from the manager that I am not physically ready for this league, I was looking for something where I would feel good,” the Pole explained.
“I have a couple of matches at Vitesse, and you have to see the stats because I’m also starting to do so. The Dutch league is a technical league and I like this style of play.”
Towards the end of September, Kozłowski hinted he would not be open to going out on loan again after stressing that he wants stability for his future.
