Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Chiquinho has been getting some well deserved compliments from the Portuguese media recently.
Last week, he had already scored a goal in Famalicão’s 2-1 win over Gil Vicente. Now he had a goal and an assist in the 3-2 victory over Vizela.
That was a reason for many newspapers to praise him. One of them is A Bola, who highlights him as the ‘best on the pitch’ and says he’s been ‘essential’ for his club lately.
Wolves fans should also have a look at some comments by newspapers Record and O Jogo, who bring some similar words to describe Chiquinho’s recent impact.
‘Just like in Barcelos, Chiquinho scored and assisted in a game in which he seemed devilish,’ says Record.
‘Fast, creative and sharp, the winger was a real devil on the loose,’ writes O Jogo.
Chiquinho has five goals and three assists in 21 appearances for Famalicão this season, and things got way better for him since the change of managers at the club.
The winger, who was signed by Wolves from Estoril in January 2022, is loaned until the end of the season. Perhaps all this good form will convince Gary O’Neil to give him a good chance in pre-season. After all, he has a contract until 2026.
