With Danilo announced and nearly ready to make his debut for Nottingham Forest, we now get to see more details of his transfer.
UOL journalist Marcelo Hazan shares a piece with all the numbers involved in this deal, for which the Reds are spending a total of €20m.
It’s said Nottingham Forest already paid €2m for the signing. The other instalments will be €8m in October 2023, €8m in October 2024 and €2m in October 2025.
Palmeiras aren’t getting all that money, but they’re receiving more than expected. That’s because they only owned 80% of Danilo’s rights, and during the talks with the Reds, they managed to negotiate with Danilo’s former club for a further 10%.
According to UOL, the deal between Nottingham Forest and Palmeiras also includes a percentage of a future move. That means if the Tricky Trees sell Danilo for over €20m, then the Verdão will have 10% of the profit made by the English club.
Danilo signed a contract which runs until 2029. The player had a dream of featuring in the Premier League, and should soon have the chance to do so.
