On Thursday we covered reports from Spain which stated Joselu has almost completed a transfer to Alaves. It was explained he wanted more time on the pitch and would look to escape the Premier League club this summer.
A deal was presented as pretty much done, however there weren’t any details on the specifics. With the 29 year old only having a year left on his contract it would have to be a permanent transfer, yet no estimate on the price was given.
On Friday, Marca add to the weight of a transfer being imminent. They say Joselu will be signing a three year contract at Alaves, and is expected to partnered with Lucas Perez, who recently arrived from West Ham United.
The Spanish newspaper put the fee at €2m, and it’s explained the forward will be taking a pay cut, just like Perez had to do.
There’s no indication of when the presentation will be, however, it’s made very clear this one is expected to happen.
