On December 16th, we covered claims from Italy which stated Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior has requested his agent to find a new club in the winter market.
Two days later, Corriere del Mezzogiorno said the Gunners have opened the door for the defender to leave and he’s likelier to leave the Emirates.
TuttoMercatoWeb claim the centre-back has received offers from several clubs to leave Arsenal in January.
They haven’t specified the clubs that have made offers but state Juventus and Napoli have shown interest from Italy, while clubs from abroad have also tabled bids. The report says all proposals are loan with a buying option and none of them have convinced Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side are unlikely to let the 24-year-old leave if there’s a bid for a permanent sale because they will then have to sign a replacement this month.
The Poland international is ‘destined to remain’ at Arsenal because they have ‘no intention of selling’ him in this window. It’s claimed the situation could be different in the summer, when he could be sold for €15-20m.
Kiwior made two league starts this season and both came when Gabriel Magalhães was sidelined with a knee injury. The Pole wants more minutes, but Arteta isn’t willing to offer him any assurances.
