Here’s one more Manchester City player who’s reportedly joining Girona on loan this summer.

According to Diari de Girona, the Spanish side are landing Brazilian fullback Yan Couto, who recently signed for the Premier League side.

It’s claimed that Manchester City know the 18-year-old won’t have a place in the first team, and see the La Liga club as a good place for him to develop.

Due to Yan Couto’s attacking skills, he’s now labelled the ‘new Dani Alves’, and that’s probably a nickname which will follow him in Spain.

Manchester City spent €6m to sign the youngster from Brazilian side Coritiba at the start of the year. His move was only made official in the summer, and it took a while before he could fly to Europe due to the Coronavirus situation

Yan Couto claimed to be excited to be joining Pep Guardiola’s side, but it seems it will take a while before he can actually feature in the Premier League.
