Eintracht Frankfurt want to pay ‘well under €10m’ for Rasmus Kristensen, despite agreeing to pay Leeds United €15m for him in the summer.

That’s according to BILD, who report that the German club want a discount on the defender despite his impressive performances this season.

Kristensen has been on loan with the German side since the summer and impressed for them, first in a more defensive role before being moved forward to play more as a wing-back.

This has seen an uptick in form for him that recently saw him bag two assists in one game and earn the public admiration of striker Hugo Ekitiké.

Those two assists came off the back of an assist in the previous game also, an indication that Kristensen is in fine form and only getting better.

BILD say he knows he needs to perform to turn his loan deal from Leeds into a permanent one, but Eintracht want a discount on that anyway.

They agreed to a €15m purchase clause in the summer but want to reduce that to ‘well under €10m’ before agreeing to commit. Whether Leeds will let them do so is ‘questionable’ at this moment in time.

Leeds United have no reason to play along with that of course and presumably won’t either if Kristensen continues to impress and rack up the assists.
