Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has revealed that he would love to return to Boca Juniors in future, should the opportunity be there to do so.
The Argentine World Cup winner has been speaking to TyC Sports, relayed by TNT, about his potential future plans if things go as he hopes they will.
The midfielder is currently starring for Liverpool in their midfield after a summer move from Brighton in a €42m deal.
He had been with the Seagulls since January 2020 after returning to the club from a loan spell with Boca Juniors.
He initially signed for Brighton in an €8m deal from Argentinos Juniors in January 2019 but returned to the club on loan before then being loaned out to Boca between July 2019 and January 2020.
It meant his time with the Argentine giants was something of a short one, with him only managing 20 appearances in total for the club.
That is something he would like to rectify in the future if he can, although at this point the Liverpool star is not making any promises.
“I don’t like to promise that I will return because the reality is that there is still a long way to go, but anything can happen,” he said.
“Obviously the desire is there, especially because my time in Boca was very short and I would have liked to be there more, but time will tell if I have that possibility and they give it to me.”
