Swansea City star Žan Vipotnik has a goal of making a switch to the Premier League.
The Slovenia international starred for Swansea City this season, managing 25 goals and three assists from 49 matches.
On April 21st, Vítor Matos talked about the possibility of the striker leaving the Welsh club this summer.
Toulouse, Benfica and Brighton & Hove Albion have already shown interest in the 24-year-old.
Last month, Sport Witness covered claims from Slovenia that the Swans have set a €30m price.
Swansea City star not worried about transfer links
Tuesday’s edition of Dnevnik have Žan Vipotnik’s interview and he talks about a few topics including his future at Swansea City.
Slovenia, who didn’t qualify for the World Cup, have friendlies against Cyprus and Croatia this month.
Ahead of Thursday’s clash against Cyprus, the newspaper spoke to the frontman to ask him about the latest exit links. His immediate focus is on the national team and not on the possibility of changing clubs.
“For now, I’ve taken a nice break from it all. I’ve been on holiday in warm places and have forgotten everything else. Now it’s the national team’s turn, and then we’ll see,” he said.
“A long season, a lot of matches. As I said, I had a few days off, so I was able to recharge my batteries a bit, and now I’m back in action. It’s always nice to come home.”
Dnevnik insist the player won’t be short of suitors, and the Premier League would be the next logical step.
Responding to that, Vipotnik explained: “The desire is definitely there, but a lot of things would have to come together. For now, I’m really happy at Swansea. We’ll see what happens in the summer.”
Four days ago, we relayed news of West Ham United looking at the frontman this summer. However, his latest admission would make a potential move to the Hammers challenging, after their relegation.
