Angel Di María has backed Alejandro Garnacho to have a bright future in the game at Manchester United, if he is focused enough to achieve it.
The winger has been speaking to TNT, relayed by El Desmarque, regarding the Manchester United youngster and his future.
The Manchester United man is considered one of the rising stars of European football and is being closely watched by most in Argentina, who also consider him one of the stars of the national team moving forwards.
He has certainly shown he is capable of being both so far, establishing himself as a key member of Erik ten Hag’s first team and justifying that with ten goals and seven assists in 65 games so far despite only being 19.
Whether he can build on the impressive start to his career so far remains to be seen, with many a youngster having broken through at clubs like Manchester United, shone early on then fallen by the wayside down the line.
Di María certainly knows how difficult it can be to live up to expectations at Old Trafford in particularly but has backed Garnacho to avoid that, if he can deal with it mentally.
“He is going to gain it with experience,” he said.
“When I was young, I wanted to do the same, play 30 times a game, but sometimes doing 10 is worth more than those 30. He has skill and a tremendous one-on-one, but he is going to win it over time and coming with the National Team.
“He has a very big future, and it only depends on him and his head.”
