On Wednesday, after a lot of patience, it seemed like Andrea Ranocchia could finally get his desired move to the Premier League, as TuttoMercatoWeb in Italy claimed a €6m offer from the Premier League side was either on its way or had already been made.

Desperate to return to England where he excelled with Hull City under Marco Silva during a six month loan at KCOM Stadium, the 29-year-old has even put a move to Genoa on hold to wait and see what could happen.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday, it seems like the Inter defender might have to wait a little bit longer, as the Italian newspaper, despite confirming interest from Watford, Burnley and West Bromwich Albion, say no concrete offer has arrived from the Premier League.

The only club who have come forward so far are the aforementioned Genoa, and Ranocchia is still waiting for his dream move.

Said to have his ‘suitcase ready’, it seems all that is needed for him to get his transfer to England is for an offer to be accepted.

After that, you’ve got the feeling he’ll pretty much sign anything as long as it means he gets to play regularly in the Premier League.

Following his good spell in a struggling side last year, the lack of offers from the likes of Watford, Burnley and West Bromwich Albion, if they are indeed interested is quite staggering.

Marco Silva knows him well, and both Sean Dyche and Tony Pulis are currently looking for centre-backs.

It’s a no brainer.
