Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Ki-Jana Hoever is set to return to the club, according to reports from the Netherlands.
Dutch outlet ED today writes that with PSV ‘dissatisfied’ with the player’s progress at the club, they’re sending him back to the Premier League side.
Hoever was loaned by Wolves until the end of the season, but with him being of little use at PSV, that spell is being cut short. It’s said he ‘did not convince’ in the chances he had at the Eredivisie side.
In total, he even had eight appearances for PSV. The last of them was in a Europa League clash back in early November.
Now back at Wolves, Hoever has a contract running until 2025, and it’s unclear what Julen Lopetegui will do with him at the club.
The fullback was signed from Liverpool in a €9.8m move in 2020, and in the two years he spent at Molineux, he only made 25 appearances, being sent to the Netherlands to gain experience elsewhere.
A new loan may be a solution, although ED doesn’t mention a potential destination for now.
