One of the more promising players from the Juventus academy, Radu Dragusin’s contract is up at the end of the season.

Juventus would like to keep him at the club, and have tried to renew his contract, but, so far, that hasn’t gone to plan, with clubs like Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur circling.

On Thursday, we covered an article stating Dragusin was a ‘specific request’ from Steve Bruce and a move to St James’ Park was a ‘concrete option’ for the 19-year-old, but Spurs haven’t said their last word.

According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, the player ‘continues to please’ the likes of Tottenham and Leipzig, as well as the Magpies.

Juventus aren’t giving up on him either, as ‘new meetings are planned’ in order to try and convince him to stay in Italy.

While Spurs do need some defensive reinforcements, fans will be hoping for more experienced players to help out José Mourinho, especially after their recent 5-4 loss to Everton.

Dragusin is certainly an exciting prospect, but he’s one for the future, not the present.
