Three days ago, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio stated Manchester United are ready to pay the €15m commission requested by Joshua Zirkzee’s agent Kia Joorabchian.

The deal to take the Bologna star to Manchester United is progressing if multiple reports are to be believed.

Sky Deutschland say the negotiations between Manchester United and the 23-year-old are ‘now advanced’.

The striker has a €40m clause and the Red Devils are ready to activate it. The report adds he’s ‘about to move’ to Old Trafford this summer and his former club, Bayern Munich, will receive 50% of the fee from his sale.

Over at TuttoMercatoWeb, they state these are ‘decisive hours’ for the Premier League side to sign the Netherlands international.

Zirkzee’s agent is working with Manchester United to ‘find the solution in a short time’. Erik ten Hag’s side have also been in contact with the Serie A side in the last few hours, to sort out the details of the operation. It’s claimed these talks are to ‘outline the payment’ of €40m.

He was part of the Netherlands squad who lost to England in the Euros on Wednesday.

Sky say the Red Devils will activate the clause, while TMW suggest they may spread the payment over several years instead of paying €40m in one go. This could be the reason for the contact between the two clubs.
