Following all the updates on the future of Edinson Cavani we’ve been seeing from South America, there’s now news coming from the Italian media as well.

A story from CalcioMercato.it says these are ‘decisive days’ for the striker’s stay at Manchester United, since talks for his renewal are set to start in the next week.

Even though the player was approached ‘kind of recently’ by the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus, the report says his future should now be down to two options: either staying at Old Trafford or moving to Boca Juniors.

Following these talks, Manchester United will reportedly expect Cavani’s decision ‘in the coming weeks’, as he’s probably waiting a little longer before taking a decision.

On Friday, we covered the Argentine media claiming Manchester United will wait until the 15th of May for Cavani to give them his final word.

The player is said to be ‘happy’ and ‘comfortable’ at Old Trafford, but the fact that his son is being born in Uruguay in June is one more factor which pushes him to return to South America.
