Romelu Lukaku is having an excellent World Cup, both on and off the pitch.

His insightful Players’ Tribune interview won him fans and made the Manchester United player rise in the hearts and minds of those backers he’s already got. Lukaku is becoming a real leader for Belgium and that’s being recognised by the media in his home country.

Then, on the pitch, the striker has found the back of the net four times in two matches and it’s not too controversial to say he’s been Belgium’s most important player in Russia so far.

Before the tournament started, Lukaku was also scoring in the warm-up matches, and in his last four games for Belgium he’s found the back of the net 7 times. It is truly top level stuff.

But he won’t be able to add to it against England, reports HLN.

The Belgian newspaper today tell its readers to remove Lukaku from their betting for the game.

He’s picked up a slight ankle injury and Belgium don’t want to take any risks with the Manchester United player, therefore: ‘Lukaku does not play’.
