Manchester United’s agreement for the signing of Raphael Varane is done, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian journalist reports that there’s a ‘deal done’ between the Red Devils and Real Madrid, with the defender costing €50m plus bonuses.

Varane is now set to fly to Manchester and have his medicals with the club in two days.

An agreement between the Premier League side and the player had been reported by the French and the Spanish media for weeks now, and the deal with Real Madrid was the last step for the deal.

Raphael Varane has been linked with Manchester United since before he was a Real Madrid player, with the club being in a battle back in 2011 with Los Blancos as the defender left Lens.

He’s also been linked with a move to Old Trafford repeatedly since then, and it became something of a rumour which makes fans yawn at the never-ending claims of the window.

However, this time is clearly very different and the France international now looks set to become a Red Devil within the coming days.
