Jon Dahl Tomaasson has held an interview with Norwich City over their vacant manager’s position.
That’s according to Tipsbladet. They confirm a report from England that Tomasson has been interviewed over the Norwich job.
Norwich City are currently on the search for a replacement for Liam Manning. He was sacked last week after a disastrous start to the season left the Canaries 23rd in the table, five points from safety.
A report in England stated that Tomasson had been interviewed about the position. Tipsbladet say this is ‘consistent’ with their own information. They don’t, though, confirm that the interview happened on Tuesday. This is what was reported in England.
Tomasson is out of work after being fired by Sweden last month. That came after they were left on the verge of missing out on the World Cup next summer following a poor run of results under his leadership.
The manager was at the centre of multiple dramas with Sweden, although it was far from being all his fault.
He wouldn’t be the first Danish coach to manage Norwich City. Johannes Hoff Thorup was the first after being appointed in May 2024. He was sacked in April 2025.
Tomasson also has experience in the Championship after previously managing Blackburn Rovers. It is perhaps that experience which Norwich City are now looking at. According to Tipsbladet, he’s now been interviewed for their manager’s position.
