Over the past few transfer windows, Tottenham Hotspur have looked at the Italian market to strengthen their squad.

Spurs could look at Serie A again as they have identified Inter Milan’s Kristjan Asllani as a target.

That’s according to InterLive.it, who say the midfielder has several admirers and particular attention needs paying to Tottenham.

The Albania international clocked in 1,156 minutes from 32 games last season. Despite this, the player, who has a deal until 2027, insists he’s happy at the San Siro.

InterLive.it say the Italian champions need at least €35-40m to sanction his sale in the summer window. They add these figures are certainly within the north London club’s reach, but they could consider carrying out a swap deal.

According to the report, Daniel Levy could offer Radu Drăgușin in exchange for the Nerazzurri player.

The report says Drăgușin could be an option for Inter, as long as Stefan De Vrij were to leave the San Siro.

On Tuesday, Drăgușin’s agent stated his client made the ‘right choice’ by joining Spurs, and that he’s ready to compete with others for a place at Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou surely doesn’t want to give up on the player this soon, and the whole story feels a little contrived to say the least.
