Norwich City secured their first win of the season on November 6th, and then went ahead and sacked their manager Daniel Farke, in a decision which was clearly made ahead of the match against Brentford.

With the international break ahead of them, the Canaries had some time to get a new man in place, and Aston Villa helped out in that regard after showing Dean Smith the door.

Smith swapped Premier League jobs and will now work to try and get Norwich out of the relegation zone, with them currently five points behind Leeds United, and seven points behind a group of clubs including Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

The new Norwich manager has all the motivation he needs to try and pull off an impressive escape, and the man he replaced could also be set for a new job soon.

Markus Anfang resigned from Werder Bremen at the weekend after an investigation was launched into him potentially using a fake Covid-19 vaccination certificate. Werder are ninth in Bundesliga2 and now need a new manager.

Multiple German sources, including club specialist DeichStube and newspaper Die Zeit, report that Farke is one of the men in the picture for the vacancy, and a decision will be expected in the coming days.
