Earlier this week we covered a report that Tottenham were pushing ahead with a move for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo.
The Spanish U21 international shone at the U21 Euros this summer and Sport claimed that Spurs had made the midfielder a ‘priority’ signing in their rebuild.
Mundo Deportivo have now spoken to his agent and he’s confirmed the Spaniard will definitely be on the move and, furthermore, he will be joining a Champions League club.
Manchester United and AC Milan have also been ruled out, leaving Tottenham, Liverpool and Bayern Munich as his potential destinations although Bayern reportedly only joined the bidding after the Champions League final in May, according to the newspaper.
They believe he will cost his new club close to €40m, which will represent a big profit for Dinamo given they secured him on a free transfer from Barcelona’s La Masia system.
Liverpool or Tottenham would be smart choices for him as well. The Reds need an attacking midfielder of his ilk while there’s every chance Tottenham are looking at him as an alternative to Giovani Lo Celso.
Both have money to spend this summer as well so that €40m price tag would not be an issue. There is, though, the chance that Bayern and the promise of almost guaranteed success there could tempt him away from the Premier League.
