Bursaspor central defender Ertugrul Ersoy has told the Turkish media his dream is to play for Liverpool at some stage in his career.
Ersoy is the current captain of Bursaspor at just 21 years old.
The Turkey international has spoken to the press during the current international break and Sabah have covered comments made by the youngster: “Everyone has a dream and mine is to play for Liverpool in the future. Of course, it’s not easy to join Liverpool directly from Bursaspor but I hope I can show my abilities at another club in Europe before this move. Bundesliga might be a good option.”
Ersoy came through the Bursaspor youth system and is highly-rated in Turkey for both his defensive and passing abilities. The young defender has played in every Super Lig game for the Turkish club this season and was installed as the club’s captain in September.
The player made his debut for the Turkey national team last month, and he may get more playing time in the upcoming games with Sweden and the Ukraine.
It seems Ersoy has ambitions to make it to the top in football and a move to major European League may happen in the future.
West Bromwich Albion were reported to be interested in signing Ersoy earlier this year but following their relegation to the Championship these links went quiet.
