Crystal Palace have become the latest English club, after Tottenham Hotspur and others, to show interest in Southampton‘s Léo Scienza.

That’s according to AS, who mention Tottenham when covering Crystal Palace’s desire to sign him.

The attacking midfielder joined Southampton from 1. FC Heidenheim in September 2025 and starred in his debut season in England. He scored seven goals and contributed 10 assists from 44 matches for the Championship side.

On April 14th, Sport Witness covered claims from Brazil that Aston Villa, Leeds United and Everton sent scouts to watch him last season.

AS also claim Aston Villa, Leeds United and Everton have already scouted him. They add Tottenham Hotspur, Flamengo and Palmeiras sent officials to follow the Southampton star.

The interest in Léo Scienza is now growing, as more clubs in England, Italy and Spain join the race to sign him.

Crystal Palace, Como, Atalanta, Real Betis and Real Sociedad are all keen.

The newspaper explains the interest from these clubs stems from his performances in his final season at 1. FC Heidenheim and last season at Southampton. He managed six goals and six assists from 37 matches for the German club during the 2024/25 season.

Southampton in control 

Despite interest from Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and several other clubs in Léo Scienza, the Saints can be calm.

The 27-year-old has a contract until 2029, and Transfermarkt value him at €12m. This is the highest value of his career and there’s been a €9m rise since joining Southampton.

Last season, Tonda Eckert’s side missed out on the Premier League promotion after the spy gate incident.

The South American’s stay would be crucial for Southampton’s chances of returning to the Premier League. If he extends his form, his value can rise further, allowing the English club to capitalise from his sale in 2027.
