Throughout this week we’ve brought you various updates on Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa.
The Spaniard is wanted by both Crystal Palace and Burnley this summer after impressing on loan with Cardiff City last year.
Palace appeared to have won the race for his signature before the last-minute attempt by Burnley scuppered things.
Earlier today we covered a report that Palace were again in front and that Camarasa had missed training to negotiate with the Eagles.
ABC Sevilla update the story this afternoon and confirm that Palace, barring a late twist, it will indeed ‘win the race’ for his signature.
Indeed, they expect a deal should be concluded sometime today, with Camarasa having flown to London this morning to undergo his medical.
The deal will see Crystal Palace pay €1.5m for the initial loan and, while there is a purchase option for €13.5m, they are only obligated to pay the latter if they stay up in the Premier League and Camarasa plays at least 15 games.
