Once regularly linked with a move to Manchester United when still a Benfica player, Enzo Pérez is once again attracting interest from the Premier League, but this time from slightly ‘smaller’ clubs.

Now at Valencia, who are majorly underperforming in La Liga this season, the 30-year-old is the subject of multiple offers from around the world, according to Fichajes.com in Spain, including a lucrative proposal from China.

From England, however, both Crystal Palace and West Brom are reported to have the player in their books as a potential January recruit, although the player doesn’t appear to be too keen on a move to either of those sides.

Tony Pulis certainly appears to be looking for a new defensive midfielder, as shown by his alleged interest in Sporting CP’s William Carvalho and past attempts to sign Malaga’s Ignacio Camacho last summer.

As for Sam Allardyce, the manager’s apparent scattergun approach this transfer window, trying to reinforce his squad wherever possible, is undoubtedly a reason behind this link.

Both Crystal Palace and West Brom would be able to offer the Argentina international a better wage than what he is currently on at the Spanish club, yet a lot appears to depend on the project presented to the player.

With a contract ending in 2019, and having paid over £20m for him two years ago, Valencia are sure to want to recoup most, if not all, of their money if a deal is to be struck.

Regardless of the Premier League riches, that remains a lot of money for both those sides, especially for a 30-year-old.

Will they go for it? We doubt it.
