Crystal Palace star Odsonne Edouard is today a subject in the French media, but not due to transfer rumours or any controversy about him.
According to Loic Tanzi, the striker is now a shareholder of FC93, where he plans to invest ‘several million euros’.
Edouard is said to be keen on developing the club and help them make their way through to the upper tiers.
FC93 are currently in National 2, which is France’s fourth tier, and the initial plan is said to ‘quickly’ get a promotion to National 1.
The Crystal Palace player is just 26, and it’s actually quite interesting to see him showing that passion for the game while he’s still far from retirement.
Despite being born in French Guinea, Edouard moved to Europe when he was quite young, where he joined Paris Saint Germain’s youth ranks and has been also playing for France since the U-17 level.
Back at Crystal Palace, the striker has seven goals in 20 appearances for the club this season. The Eagles’ next challenge is on Monday, when they receive Chelsea at the Selhurst Park.
